4-star boutique hotel on Vieux Port - Clef Verte certified
Location & Sustainability
Maisons Du Monde Hotel & Suites - La Rochelle Vieux Port sits directly on the harbour, steps from the Chain Tower and the historic district. The hotel holds the Clef Verte label, a French certification for sustainable tourism, and partners with local producers to reduce its environmental footprint. Guests can walk to the beach, the Vieux Port restaurants, and the ferry terminals for Île de Ré and Oléron.
Rooms & Design
The hotel offers a variety of room styles, from Comfort Rooms to Deluxe Old Harbor rooms with direct views of the port towers. Each room is furnished with pieces from Maisons du Monde stores, including in-room espresso machines and premium bedding. Soundproof windows and air conditioning are standard, and some top-floor rooms include private patios overlooking the harbour.
Dining
Breakfast is served from 06:00 to 10:30 on weekdays and 07:00 to 11:00 on weekends, featuring eggs cooked to order and gluten-free bread available on request. The hotel's bistronomic dining uses fresh local produce, and room service is available for guests who prefer to eat in their room. An on-site bar offers wine and champagne, and the breakfast room includes a coffee house on site.
Family & Pet-Friendly
Family rooms can accommodate up to four guests with two large beds, and the hotel provides a dog bed and water bowls for pets at no extra charge. Children are welcome, and the front desk can arrange cribs or extra bedding upon request. The hotel's central location puts families within a short walk of the aquarium, the Ferris wheel, and the Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park.
Accessibility & Services
The hotel has accessible amenities for guests with reduced mobility, including a lift, wheelchair-accessible rooms, and toilets with grab rails. A 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out, luggage storage, and concierge service for tours and restaurant bookings. A co-working space is available for business travelers, and the hotel provides dry cleaning, laundry, and ironing services.
